About Brooke

Powerful and unique, Brooke Marshall is a singer and pianist who writes and performs beautiful songs that come deep from within.   

Brooke graduated from Bethel College (now Bethel University) in 2001 with a degree in Music Composition. During her time there, she wrote pieces for piano, choirs to full symphony orchestras with styles varying from minimalist, jazz to rock. She also continued her piano and voice lessons and dived into learning cello and guitar, as well. In addition to weddings, funerals, and corporate events, she has played solo shows at Jitters, The Kitty Cat Klub, and The Acadia Theatre to name a few, performing her own songs in her unique style.  She also is a part of the 90s/2000s cover band, Anti-Skip Protection (www.antiskipprotection.com)

Brooke is currently employed at SML Inc. as Key Account Manager.  She also assists at Catalyst Covenant in St. Paul with their worship services.  Prior to that, she worked at Salem Covenant Church in New Brighton for over 11 years as a pianist and singer for their contemporary service.

In November 2012 Brooke placed as a finalist with her song, "It's OK" for the 2012 Song of the Year contest.  

In August 2012 Brooke was honored to be asked to perform for the 2012 Susan G Komen 3-Day Twin Cities

In 2010 Brooke received an honorable mention for two songs she wrote, "Selfish Ambition" and "Love, Why Must I" from Women in Music Minnesota.  

In 2009 Brooke auditioned for The Gospel Music Channel's, "Gospel Dream," which is the Christian version of American Idol. She was honored to be chosen to proceed to the second round of the audition process to sing for one of Nashville's top producers.

In November of 2007, Brooke submitted her song, "Kiss the Son" in VH1's "Song of the Year Contest" to be critiqued by a music professional. She placed as a runner-up for the contest. "Song of the Year" receives entries from all over the world and only the top entries achieve Runner-Up status.

Brooke, along with her husband Ed, and two sons, along with their dog, live in Coon Rapids, MN.
